T-Terminal + base in stainless steel from Blue Wave.

A terminal is used to hold the end of a steel wire in place so that the wire can only move in one direction. It can, for example, be used functionally; to secure a structure, or architecturally; for display purposes. In addition, they can be used to secure a mast in so-called stays, to stabilize the mast, and thus the boat.

Terminals are swaged tightly around the steel wire, meaning that a tool is used to clamp the terminal around the wire to secure it to an anchoring point.
