Description

A turnbuckle is used to hold and tension a wire rope so that the wire can only move in one direction. It can also be used to secure a mast in so-called shrouds, to stabilize the mast and thereby the boat.
You unscrew the fork and terminal from each other and tighten them with a nut. Then mount it in the desired place and tighten the turnbuckle by inserting a thin screwdriver or similar through the small hole in the middle and turning until the wire is fully tensioned.
Danish Blue Wave manufactures its products from a solid block of steel, meaning there are no welds, and their products can therefore withstand extra load.
