Description
International Gelshield 200 is a 2-component fast-drying epoxy primer for fiberglass. It is ideal for protection against osmosis and can be used at temperatures down to +5 °C.

Gelshield 200 is available in two colors - gray and green to ensure optimal coverage. International Gelshield 200 epoxy primer cannot be painted over 1-component products. Use International Thinner No. 7 for cleaning.
Pre-treatment: GELCOAT: Degrease with solvent or Super Cleaner. Sand thoroughly with 180-220 grit sandpaper. Clean thoroughly and allow to dry. PREVIOUSLY ANTIFOULED SURFACES: Remove with Interstrip. Wash with Super Cleaner, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry. Sand with 180 grit. EXPOSED LAMINATE: Spot with Gelshield Plus.
Method: Remove all dust from the surface Apply the number of coats specified in the datasheet (at least 250µm) dry film. To make the job easier and ensure full coverage, you can alternate between gray and green. Finish with gray. KEEL SPACE: Apply 2 coats if there is gelcoat on the inside of the hull. If not, use Gelshield Plus.
Tips: Mixing Stir carefully, or shake both components thoroughly. Add the hardener to the base, stir carefully and let the mixture stand for 10 minutes so the air bubbles disappear. Thinner YTA061 Thinner No. 7. Can be used at temperatures down to 5°C, but the best result is achieved at temperatures above 10°C. Small damage can, if necessary, be repaired with Watertite filler after the first coat of Gelshield 200.
