The lock box is a large brown plastic latch designed for use with a rose/knob as a push lock. It provides effective locking for hatches and doors by pushing the knob in and out to lock and open.

The lock box is used together with a rose/knob as a push lock for hatches and doors. When the knob is pushed in, the bolt locks. When you later want to open it, the knob is pushed out so you get a good handle.
