The trim tab set consists of 2 cylinders fitted with 1.8 m cable, 2 trim tabs with mounting brackets and screws, and 6.1 m extension cable fitted with connectors for plug and play. NOTE: control panel required.

How are trim tabs used?

In waves, trim tabs should be adjusted slightly down by pressing Bow Down on both switches. This brings the bow down while maintaining speed. This adjustment helps the hull absorb the impact of waves, resulting in a more efficient and comfortable ride. In waves, trim tabs should be fully up by pressing Bow Up on the switches. The trim tabs will help lift the stern so the bow does not dig into the waves.

In side wind, trim tabs are adjusted down on the leeward side by pressing Bow Down on the windward side until the boat is level, reducing spray and giving a more comfortable ride.

With side load, trim tabs are adjusted down on the side where the weight is by pressing Bow Down on the loaded side until the boat is level, reducing spray and giving a more comfortable ride.

For takeoff, trim tabs are adjusted fully down by pressing Bow Down on both sides. This gives the stern lift and lowers the bow of the boat; when you accelerate, speed increases and you adjust the trim by pressing Bow Up on both switches until the trim feels right.

Safety while the boat is underway: trim tabs should be used with care, as they have a major effect on the boat’s stability.
