It is relevant for both professional boatbuilders and users working with gelcoat and composite maintenance. The product quickly removes deeper sanding marks and heavy oxidation while also delivering an even finish.

Technical function and operation The compound is formulated with hard micro-abrasive grains that provide high cutting power without leaving coarse scratches or heat stress on the surface. It is specifically developed to remove sanding marks from P600–P800 paper, depending on the hardness of the gelcoat, and works evenly without splashing or creating greasy residue. The technology ensures both strong cut and high final gloss in one treatment.

Application, use and compatibility Rex Xtra Mordente can be used on hard tooling gelcoats, vinyl ester moulds and gelcoat end products. It works optimally with polishing machines and hard pads, where it quickly removes sanding marks and restores a smooth surface. The product is typically used as the first step in restoring worn or uneven gelcoat, where both cut and finish are achieved in the same working process. For even greater shine and depth, it is recommended to follow up with Perla 15 and/or Topfinish 3.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1 Preparation: Clean the surface of dust and dirt. Make sure the sanding marks are at P600–P800 level. 2 Application: Apply an appropriate amount of compound to the surface or polishing pad. 3 Polishing: Use a polishing machine at moderate speed and even pressure. Work in overlapping passes. 4 Finishing: Wipe the surface with a clean microfiber cloth. Repeat the process on particularly hard areas as needed.
