The 12-volt starter 8M6007299 is for use on selected (late style) marine engines manufactured by Ford Motor Company for OMC sterndrive or inboard applications. Replaces OEM starters: J & N 410-14079 LESTER 3183 OMC 984628. Robust construction with high-temperature epoxy armatures provides strength to secure and insulate wiring against corrosion. Permanent magnet design for high reliability, more torque, and longer service life. Units built with 90/10 copper bushings or heavy-duty needle bearings for longer, reliable service life.
