Ronstan Constrictor rope clutch TC single 6 mm rope is an innovative clutch that secures the rope in a textile sleeve. This clutch is designed to grip the rope when it runs in the opposite direction, providing increased holding power under load.

Unlike conventional rope clutches, Constrictor® does not clamp the rope between two metal surfaces. Instead, the rope is held securely in a textile sleeve that is itself attached to a base unit. The rope runs freely through the sleeve in one direction, but is immediately gripped when it runs out in the opposite direction. This patented "constrictor effect" provides greater holding power as the load increases.
