Models with a brake are suitable for use where there is a risk of the load running away. Should be operated in and out by handle.
All DL trailer winches are TUFFPLATE zinc treated as standard. The zinc-treated yellow chromate “TUFFPLATE” design is 3 times more resistant than normal zinc-treated winches and is 30% more resistant to corrosion. All winches without a brake allow free-spooling of the drum when the pawl is not engaged.
